The Kisrécse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that István Sarkady should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. István Sarkady was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Adolfo Salvino made a precise shot to the right of István Sarkady. Kisrécse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Salvino in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg István Sarkady saved Kisrécse from getting behind. Kisrécse's István Sarkady played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 37th minute of play forced Kisrécse's goalkeeper István Sarkady to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Githinji Muhoho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boldizsár Nagy in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Salvino made a kick off. Rothwell Park's Abdallah Ali Bungei was substituted for Elijah Leakey. Tony Githinji Muhoho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Győri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rothwell Park's Adolfo Salvino got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. István Sarkady breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Rothwell Park's Adolfo Salvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. István Sarkady yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. After having played for 87 minutes, Adolfo Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. István Sarkady came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Rothwell Park's Adolfo Salvino. But to his dismay, Adolfo Salvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. Rothwell Park played a much better game than Kisrécse and deserved their victory. The Kisrécse players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
