Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walter Mutuku started the match with the kick off. Shukrie Hock came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino. But to his dismay, Sammy Keino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Shukrie Hock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Mutuku in the 13th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Wantage United got a freekick which was hit by Zak Choy. After 18 played minutes Rothwell Park got a freekick which was hit by Walter Mutuku. In the 20th match minute, Wantage United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Lum to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Kiprugut to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Walter Mutuku made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Wantage United's Shukrie Hock tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Walter Mutuku ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shukrie Hock was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Walter Mutuku blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shukrie Hock having to make a save. Walter Mutuku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Shukrie Hock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rothwell Park's attentive Sammy Keino managed to snatch the ball when Shahiran Ramachandran made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Wantage United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Lum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Wantage United defense, Walter Mutuku kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shukrie Hock. The Wantage United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shukrie Hock should have stopped the shot. Shekhar Biwott took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shukrie Hock. Shukrie Hock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lamar Mathews to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Wantage United defense, Sammy Keino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shukrie Hock. The Wantage United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shukrie Hock should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wantage United's goalkeeper Shukrie Hock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rothwell Park's Abdallah Ali Bungei was substituted for Elijah Leakey. The corner ended in Sammy Keino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wantage United's Shukrie Hock did a great save. In the 62nd minute, Rothwell Park's Daniel Kiprugut seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Daniel Kiprugut the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rothwell Park protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Daniel Kiprugut had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Rothwell Park getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Daniel Kiprugut hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Kiprugut to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Lamar Mathews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Wantage United getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Arif Lum hit a great ball. Shukrie Hock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Mohamed in the 71st minute of play. William Mohamed scored 8-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shukrie Hock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lamar Mathews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tony Githinji Muhoho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Githinji Muhoho made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Zafran Singh sent off a good shot on target. If Sammy Keino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Wantage United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Lum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Wantage United booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Mohamed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rothwell Park's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
