Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Walter Mutuku took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Urpo Kanerva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urpo Kanerva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Karpuzlu's Ali Atıf Oğuztüzün got a free kick in the 5th minute. Turan Coşan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sammy Keino. After a rather tough play, Karpuzlu's Hadi Abanoz got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Karpuzlu's zone, Walter Mutuku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turan Coşan came out of the goal and Walter Mutuku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute Beşir Bozdağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Githinji Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Karpuzlu's corner Arda Süphan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tony Githinji Muhoho quite easily take care of the ball. Turan Coşan made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Walter Mutuku sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Walter Mutuku cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Turan Coşan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Karpuzlu defense, Walter Mutuku kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turan Coşan. The Karpuzlu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turan Coşan should have stopped the shot. Karpuzlu's Turan Coşan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Karpuzlu from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the game, Rothwell Park's Walter Mutuku nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Turan Coşan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Kiprugut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Beşir Bozdağ made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Walter Mutuku ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Turan Coşan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 57 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's Walter Mutuku sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turan Coşan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Walter Mutuku came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Rothwell Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Mutuku couldn't finish the play. Arda Göksel Bozdoğan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Tony Githinji Muhoho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Beşir Bozdağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Githinji Muhoho having to interfere. Rothwell Park made a substitution. Abdallah Ali Bungei replaced Elijah Leakey. When Arda Süphan fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karpuzlu's protests and gave Arda Süphan a yellow card for diving instead. Arda Süphan kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The Rothwell Park fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Rothwell Park's William Mohamed looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Atıf Oğuztüzün in the 95th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Tony Githinji Muhoho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rothwell Park were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Karpuzlu for a fine match.
