An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolaas Lanen in the 20th minute of play forced MPC's goalkeeper Haşmet Selman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Işıkalp Baştuğ was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Nicolaas Lanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haşmet Selman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Werken's Oswald Pelleman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haşmet Selman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. A collision led to Werken getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kristof Olbrechts hit a great ball. Haşmet Selman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolaas Lanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Haşmet Selman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswald Pelleman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes MPC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ege Oğuzman. Kristof Olbrechts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haşmet Selman. MPC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, MPC's Şener Parsbay got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Nils Maeijnaerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haşmet Selman was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Haşmet Selman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Pelleman in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Nicolaas Lanen notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of MPC's Haşmet Selman. Haşmet Selman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Işıkalp Baştuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waud De Backer having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Werken had played much better football throughout.
