An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Maeijnaerts in the 28th minute of play forced AncruuFC's goalkeeper Yenal İzhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hami Sabahaddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waud De Backer having to interfere. In the 38th minute Nicolaas Lanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yenal İzhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AncruuFC's Hulki Necmi got a free kick in the 39th minute. The supporters of Werken booed when AncruuFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulki Necmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes, Werken's Kristof Olbrechts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yenal İzhan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Werken reached it. Yenal İzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Maeijnaerts in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolaas Lanen in the 46th minute of play forced AncruuFC's goalkeeper Yenal İzhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murat Selim Gürgen's late challenge caught a Werken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murat Selim Gürgen helped the player get up and apologised. Murat Selim Gürgen kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The AncruuFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Werken were winning 0-1.

After a rather tough play, AncruuFC's Doğan Karay got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute of the match, Nicolaas Lanen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yenal İzhan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 62nd minute, Hami Sabahaddin made a precise shot to the right of Waud De Backer. Werken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 65 minutes into the game, Hami Sabahaddin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AncruuFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Werken the free kick. AncruuFC's Yenal İzhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save AncruuFC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in AncruuFC's zone, Nils Maeijnaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yenal İzhan came out of the goal and Nils Maeijnaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Oswald Pelleman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Werken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AncruuFC the free kick. Oswald Pelleman kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Werken's Waud De Backer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazhar Sezai in the 83rd minute of play. If Hami Sabahaddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Maeijnaerts got free with Yenal İzhan in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, AncruuFC's goalkeeper Yenal İzhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oswald Pelleman. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Mazhar Sezai managed to get in a good position for a shot. AncruuFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazhar Sezai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waud De Backer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yenal İzhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils Maeijnaerts in the 92nd minute. The Werken supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Werken would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
