Nicolaas Lanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agah Tutuş having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Futbol Akademisi's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Jansens came free, but Agah Tutuş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Futbol Akademisi booed when Werken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Machiels didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdulmelik Tolun in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waud De Backer saved Werken from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolaas Lanen in the 16th minute of play forced Futbol Akademisi's goalkeeper Agah Tutuş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Futbol Akademisi's Agah Tutuş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Futbol Akademisi from getting a goal against them. Ceyhun Kazakhan kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Waud De Backer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ekber Başayoğlu in the 25th minute of the match. If Ekber Başayoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Maeijnaerts got free with Agah Tutuş in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Werken booed when Futbol Akademisi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceyhun Kazakhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Werken players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Futbol Akademisi were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Ekber Başayoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Ceyhun Kazakhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Waud De Backer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Nicolaas Lanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ekber Başayoğlu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Waud De Backer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol Akademisi. Werken's Waud De Backer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulmelik Tolun in the 56th minute of play. Abdulmelik Tolun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waud De Backer having to interfere. If Ali Cengiz Özkutsal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th match minute, Futbol Akademisi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceyhun Kazakhan to maneuver through the defense. Waud De Backer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdulmelik Tolun in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Jansens in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agah Tutuş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waud De Backer came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Futbol Akademisi's Abdulmelik Tolun. But to his dismay, Abdulmelik Tolun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 72nd minute Ekber Başayoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waud De Backer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdulmelik Tolun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waud De Backer firmly grabbed it by the left post. 80 minutes into the game, Werken's Nils Maeijnaerts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agah Tutuş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 84 minutes into the match, Abdulmelik Tolun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waud De Backer. Werken's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdulmelik Tolun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of Futbol Akademisi booed when Werken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Jansens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Göktuğ Karaalp came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waud De Backer could save by the left post. With his leg Waud De Backer managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Futbol Akademisi's Ekber Başayoğlu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ekber Başayoğlu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Futbol Akademisi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Futbol Akademisi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
