István Sarkady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolaas Lanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Werken's Nicolaas Lanen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind István Sarkady. István Sarkady yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When Nicolaas Lanen came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Werken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolaas Lanen couldn't finish the play. Waud De Backer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Pollák in the 32nd minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Ottó Bertha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kisrécse and the Werken players grew even worse after the yellow card.
