An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Sousa in the 3rd minute of play forced Futbol Akademisi's goalkeeper Agah Tutuş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerónimo Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulmelik Tolun in the 5th minute of play. Futbol Akademisi's Agah Tutuş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Sousa in the 9th minute of play. Agah Tutuş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Sousa in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Joaquim Sousa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Agah Tutuş. Joaquim Sousa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 17th minute of the match, Palmiro Barata got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agah Tutuş was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 20 minutes into the match, Futbol Akademisi's Ekber Başayoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerónimo Sacramento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Agah Tutuş made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Palmiro Barata sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 24 minutes, Ekber Başayoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futbol Akademisi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ekber Başayoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdulmelik Tolun struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jerónimo Sacramento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol Akademisi. In the 34th minute Joaquim Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agah Tutuş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Futbol Akademisi's Ali Cengiz Özkutsal got a free kick in the 35th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Avelino Pádua elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ekber Başayoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ekber Başayoğlu to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Joaquim Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agah Tutuş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Sousa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 51 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Agah Tutuş was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Palmiro Barata came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Corteagada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Barata couldn't finish the play. After 58 minutes, Nélson Ponte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corteagada FC and the Futbol Akademisi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Corteagada FC! Ahmet Göktuğ Karaalp walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekber Başayoğlu got free with Jerónimo Sacramento in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romão Gaspar hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A collision led to Corteagada FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Antero Cruz hit a great ball. Corteagada FC's Jerónimo Sacramento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Göktuğ Karaalp in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Joaquim Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corteagada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futbol Akademisi the free kick. The supporters of Futbol Akademisi booed when Corteagada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corteagada FC's zone, Orkun Uğurata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerónimo Sacramento came out of the goal and Orkun Uğurata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ekber Başayoğlu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jerónimo Sacramento came out and tried to block the shot, but Ekber Başayoğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute Orkun Uğurata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerónimo Sacramento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ekber Başayoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Futbol Akademisi fans jumped to their feet. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Orkun Uğurata sped through Corteagada FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jerónimo Sacramento. After 86 played minutes Futbol Akademisi got a freekick which was hit by Nejat Alp Taşan. After having played for 87 minutes, Óscar Lustosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corteagada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Lustosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
