Ferit Taykut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolaas Lanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Taşpınar Sk got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa İzzet Dadaloğlu. A collision led to Werken getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tristan Machiels hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes Balamir Koçarslan shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Werken's Waud De Backer to catch but Balamir Koçarslan was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Bülent Bardakçı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taşpınar Sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bülent Bardakçı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Werken's goalkeeper Waud De Backer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nils Maeijnaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ferit Taykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferit Taykut made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Nils Maeijnaerts sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolaas Lanen to make the kick off. Nils Maeijnaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ferit Taykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolaas Lanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Werken fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Werken's Nicolaas Lanen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Taşpınar Sk's Ferit Taykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Maeijnaerts in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Nicolaas Lanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Balamir Koçarslan hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Nicolaas Lanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ferit Taykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils Maeijnaerts struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ferit Taykut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werken. In the 76th minute, Yusuf Oykan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Werken's Nils Maeijnaerts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferit Taykut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yusuf Oykan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the game, Nicolaas Lanen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ferit Taykut was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Kristof Olbrechts fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werken's protests and gave Kristof Olbrechts a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Werken fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Waud De Backer, was totally fooled by Taşpınar Sk's Balamir Koçarslan, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Waud De Backer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pars Sarıkaya's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The Taşpınar Sk players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
