Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sydney Baiano took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Francis Lehrer. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Gavin Giacomozzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Gavin Giacomozzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Gavin Giacomozzi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gavin Giacomozzi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitório Goiano came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Ignacio Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Baiano in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitório Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Barcelona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Vitório Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Gisbert's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Giacomozzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Baiano came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gavin Giacomozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Baiano came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, FC Barcelona's Gavin Giacomozzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. FC Barcelona were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
