Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Guto Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play forced LUIZ PANATO's goalkeeper Guto Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Taffarel came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Yue Cheng in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zhao Yue Cheng's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zhao Yue Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Guto Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by LUIZ PANATO's Zhao Yue Cheng. But to his dismay, Zhao Yue Cheng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo de Salles in the 29th minute of play. Arlindo de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Aki Guardos short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Yue Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Tostão Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LUIZ PANATO and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Tostão Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When LUIZ PANATO's Zhao Yue Cheng in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Zhao Yue Cheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Arlindo de Salles made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 68th minute, Arlindo de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarcisio Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Zhao Yue Cheng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Guto Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Guto Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. There was no doubt that LUIZ PANATO were the better team. LUIZ PANATO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
