Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Cristian Sancho suffered a concussion after 2 minutes and had to leave the field. Aldo Crispo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Crispo helped the player get up and apologised. Aldo Crispo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Diego Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Gallardeta's Paulo Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Casimiro Erramun struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Apolo Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta's zone, Diego Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Romelio came out of the goal and Diego Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Gallardeta's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paulo Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paulo Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 28th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Paulo Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Mancebo came free, but Paulo Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Romelio. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Romelio should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Diego Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Romelio. La Gallardeta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Romelio came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Diego Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Romelio. La Gallardeta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Illan to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Erramun in the 53rd minute of play. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Erramun came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diego Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Ecuador's Diego Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 71st minute, La Gallardeta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diego Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Diego Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Romelio. That made the score 0-7 after 72 minutes of play. La Gallardeta's Paulo Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Mancebo in the 76th minute of play. Paulo Romelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Mancebo in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Paulo Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Gallardeta's Paulo Romelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. When Diego Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Paulo Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Gallardeta's Paulo Romelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. The La Gallardeta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
