Racing Matinette's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Soren Hauwaerts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soren Hauwaerts in the 13th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Geijselinckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Geijselinckx. Lucas Geijselinckx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Geijselinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucas Geijselinckx despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Soren Hauwaerts came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Soren Hauwaerts made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Geijselinckx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucas Geijselinckx firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Geijselinckx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the match, Racing Matinette's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Cazalla came free, but Lucas Geijselinckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Verstuyft came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Simon Enfant almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Deferme during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Racing Matinette's Janes Van der Perren got a free kick in the 84th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Cazalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Verstuyft came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Racing Matinette's Lucas Geijselinckx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Matinette from getting a goal against them. Uruguay played a much better game than Racing Matinette and deserved their victory. The Racing Matinette players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
