Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peyo Fonelleda to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. 57 minutes into the game, Joshua Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Consejo del Mate's Ervin Alla quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peyo Fonelleda's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Alla to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Mastache's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Orlando Gatti firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 73rd minute of the game Joshua Garrido made a throw-in which Ignacio Mastache played forward. Julio Kemen struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Consejo del Mate. 80 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Aquiles Cordero hit a great ball. Abram Secada took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joshua Garrido hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Julio Kemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
