Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Talento Futebol clube defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Souza. The Talento Futebol clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Souza should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Fraco Zago fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talento Futebol clube's protests and gave Fraco Zago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Fraco Zago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Talento Futebol clube booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Talento Futebol clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fraco Zago to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play forced Talento Futebol clube's goalkeeper José Maria Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gualter Proença. José Maria Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Talento Futebol clube's José Maria Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Talento Futebol clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Talento Futebol clube's José Maria Souza did a great save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Aparecido in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play forced Talento Futebol clube's goalkeeper José Maria Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdulaziz Onsoy to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Maria Souza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Talento Futebol clube's José Maria Souza got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Abdulaziz Onsoy made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Talento Futebol clube getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fraco Zago hit a great ball. Gualter Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Talento Futebol clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Venezuela had controlled the match.
