If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Renato Prestes got free with Julio Vera in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Renato Prestes. In the 10th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Plaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Prestes scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Boruc Plaski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 18 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Prestes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Paulo Renato Prestes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 21st minute, Paulo Renato Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 24 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Risca Faca IMT the free kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boruc Plaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Risca Faca IMT got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Prestes. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Risca Faca IMT booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Renato Prestes was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Renato Prestes's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Boruc Plaski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Orvar Gabrielsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Risca Faca IMT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 65th minute, Orvar Gabrielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Risca Faca IMT made a substitution. 庄升强 replaced Iker Silviano. In the 68th minute Paulo Renato Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Prestes in the 81st minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Azevedo in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Risca Faca IMT had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
