Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Pawelczyk in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eriberto Erlantz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Erlantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Eriberto Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cura del Futbol's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baturhan Togay in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Eriberto Erlantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The Cura del Futbol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
