Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miromir Majerowicz's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Majerowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Venezuela booed when GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Zawadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beniamin Sakowicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stasio Bienienda did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 36 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beniamin Sakowicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Miromir Majerowicz came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 42 minute. After 45 played minutes GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW got a freekick which was hit by Peder Fernkvist. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Miromir Majerowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Miromir Majerowicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute.
