Lautaro L.P.'s Salvador Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Doicaru in the 15th minute of play. Karol Ruszkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Medel in the 16th minute of play. Salvador Ortega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Doicaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Doicaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Willem-Jan Van Hinnendael in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zgierskie Zlewy's Aureliusz Kosakowski. 46 minutes into the match, Aureliusz Kosakowski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lautaro L.P.'s Salvador Ortega. Salvador Ortega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andolín Echeandía to make the kick off. Zgierskie Zlewy's Aureliusz Kosakowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Lautaro L.P.'s Damián Angulo in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
