Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquim Paredes started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Carballar in the 3rd minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Joaquim Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Orlando Tafalla in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Amado Melo. The crowd rose to their feet as Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Severino Torcato's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Torcato helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Severino Torcato got a free kick in the 9th minute. Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Torcato hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Colombia booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higino Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Fiúza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 36th minute of play. Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 36th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 47 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cazalla. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariusz Lamczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. But to his dismay, Kevin Mastache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 61 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Axel Montenegro. Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna was substituted for Joaquim Paredes. After 62 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Luna in the 63rd minute of the match. Carlos Luna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albi Koka, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Gremio Viana defense, Kevin Mastache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Fiúza. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Fiúza should have stopped the shot. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Mohamed Ali Bomba replaced Severino Torcato. Gremio Viana's Antonio Calisto was substituted for Tony Påk. Luis Cazalla made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gremio Viana's Amado Melo. If Antonio Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Ignacio Mastache tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
