Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo made the kick off and thus started the match. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Fiúza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio Viana's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. Gremio Viana's attentive Amado Melo managed to snatch the ball when Milagros Fraga made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Fiúza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's Julian Murillo suffered a sore thigh after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Fabrizio Crognale fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio Viana's protests and gave Fabrizio Crognale a yellow card for diving instead. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Julian Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 31st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Fiúza having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 34th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Mariusz Lamczyk threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Prats to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Luz Tejedor made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Fiúza. Gremio Viana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna was substituted for Joaquim Paredes. After 63 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Crognale. 67 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Luna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Antonio Calisto replaced Tony Påk. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Luna, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gremio Viana.
