The supporters of Costa Rica booed when VN Keleler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Violet Bakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dilyan Maynolovski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Svetlin Pazvantov scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-0. In the 25th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svetlin Pazvantov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dilyan Maynolovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miro Vladikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, VN Keleler's Yulian Yuliev got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dilyan Maynolovski managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 47th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. VN Keleler's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Noboa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Svetlin Pazvantov made a kick off. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Miro Vladikov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sergey Filchev charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergey Filchev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dilyan Maynolovski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind VN Keleler's goalkeeper Miro Vladikov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svetlin Pazvantov in the 63rd minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svetlin Pazvantov in the 66th minute of the match. If Svetlin Pazvantov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miro Vladikov having to interfere. In the 85th minute Svetlin Pazvantov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svetlin Pazvantov went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that VN Keleler were the better team. VN Keleler's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
