Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marco Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the game, Marco Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Tião de Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benito Sanz, passed just outside the right post. In the 15th minute Régis Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valério Monteiro skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Hoffmann in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Hoffmann in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 28 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Agroboys SM - CIMZ's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Monteiro came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Valério Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. If Marco Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Régis Porto made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 59 minutes into the game, Régis Porto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Jardel Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Porto came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 68th minute of play forced Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marco Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Marco Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 77th minute of play forced Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Porto in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Régis Porto notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
