Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 8 played minutes Club Atletico Rio Tercero got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Jerrald. In the 10th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Öberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Karlsson in the 14th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvar Öberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Öberg having to interfere. Alvar Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Fred Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvar Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvar Öberg. Alvar Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Jacobo Mark fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Rio Tercero's protests and gave Jacobo Mark a yellow card for diving instead. Jacobo Mark hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alvar Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Club Atletico Rio Tercero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacobo Mark was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Jerrald in the 51st minute of play. Alvar Öberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute. Alejandro Jerrald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvar Öberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Öberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Öberg having to interfere. Jacobo Mark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvar Öberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alvar Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Jacobo Mark. But to his dismay, Jacobo Mark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Alvar Öberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alvar Öberg was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Jerrald blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Jerrald went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score.
