Ikonom Brúmbarov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Temida Sf getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gu Di Chong hit a great ball. Ikonom Brúmbarov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of the match. If Mario Kisev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ikonom Brúmbarov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Temida Sf's Roman Sharbanov was substituted for Dinko Ormandzhiev. Temida Sf's Ikonom Brúmbarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 72 minutes into the game, Radomir Istatkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ikonom Brúmbarov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Temida Sf's Rafail Lozenski was substituted for Traycho Stamboldzhiev.
