In the 12th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Janich Sodborg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Janich Sodborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Janich Sodborg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Janich Sodborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Gayoso made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eliseo Mina. Janich Sodborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 33rd minute of the match. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Janich Sodborg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 40th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janich Sodborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janich Sodborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dawid Kania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Orxata I Fartons defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Janich Sodborg. The Orxata I Fartons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Janich Sodborg should have stopped the shot. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dawid Kania made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Kania, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janich Sodborg had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Julian Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 53 minutes Orxata I Fartons's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Alonso Berganza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Orxata I Fartons's Janich Sodborg did a great save. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Orxata I Fartons's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. In the 57th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Orxata I Fartons's Olle Engström got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orxata I Fartons's René Alabern was substituted for Everardo Eguntsenti. Orxata I Fartons's Donatello Estrada was substituted for 李永乐 á Bø. Orxata I Fartons's Zarando Manrique was substituted for Dawid Kania. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zarando Manrique in the 67th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Janich Sodborg made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Zarando Manrique had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zarando Manrique was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
