Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Sillén in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joseph Holmberg 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. A collision led to Samba Fotboll U21 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jim Meck hit a great ball. Samba Fotboll U21's Sam Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Joseph Holmberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Joseph Holmberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Samba Fotboll U21's attentive Måns Johansson managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Joseph Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Joseph Holmberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Samba Fotboll U21's Wictor Gustavsson. But to his dismay, Wictor Gustavsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Samba Fotboll U21's Joseph Holmberg got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samba Fotboll U21 made a substitution. Zygmunt Koprowski replaced Joseph Holmberg. The audience was convinced that Zygmunt Koprowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Koprowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Oskar Gullesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Oskar Gullesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Zygmunt Koprowski came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Samba Fotboll U21 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Koprowski couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Zygmunt Koprowski notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Zygmunt Koprowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Koprowski in the 79th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's Elias Meck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Koprowski in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Zygmunt Koprowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zygmunt Koprowski in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When Samba Fotboll U21's Zygmunt Koprowski in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute, Måns Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Samba Fotboll U21 were the better team. Samba Fotboll U21's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
