FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Gil Peres. 42 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jerônimo de Mendonça. Jerônimo de Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 78th minute, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's César Salles seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed César Salles the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and César Salles had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. César Salles hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Jerônimo de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. Júnior Arruda got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fernandão Garcia. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Honduras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
