Elano Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play forced Peluchita Fc's goalkeeper Elano Manco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Nicanor Dalmai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peluchita Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 15 played minutes Peluchita Fc got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Dalmai. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Elano Manco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The tension between the Peluchita Fc and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card.
