Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primeiro Leto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Godofredo Celio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Argentinos del Norte got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattias Barratt ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mattias Barratt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Montero. In the 24thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentinos del Norte's Primeiro Leto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Primeiro Leto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Adrian Montero kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Argentinos del Norte's goalkeeper Primeiro Leto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Primeiro Leto made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Argentinos del Norte's Laureano Aguirre was substituted for Domenico Gentili. A hard shot 67 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Primeiro Leto managed to make a qualified save. Argentinos del Norte's players were relieved. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primeiro Leto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Primeiro Leto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Primeiro Leto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 73rd minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Argentinos del Norte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After 84 played minutes Argentinos del Norte got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Şimandan. Primeiro Leto made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Argentinos del Norte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Argentinos del Norte's Primeiro Leto did a great save. A collision led to Argentinos del Norte getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Basilio Bilbo hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Primeiro Leto skillfully saved the ball. 91 minutes into the match it was 0-1 when Daniel Zorita shot a long shot which zipped by Argentinos del Norte's goalkeeper at the right pole. If Cornelius Middelhede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
