Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Racing Club Canillo's Zak Foggarty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. Zak Foggarty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Racing Club Canillo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Juan Sebastián Puig managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Zak Foggarty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 13th minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tom Clemence's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Trev Holden fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club Canillo's protests and gave Trev Holden a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Racing Club Canillo got a freekick which was hit by Trev Holden. In the 20th minute Zenon Cisek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zak Foggarty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 28th minute. Racing Club Canillo's Zak Foggarty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. Zak Foggarty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zak Foggarty in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 33rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Zenon Cisek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Racing Club Canillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wes Hartshorn to maneuver through the defense. Zak Foggarty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Zenon Cisek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zenon Cisek to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Milburn in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zenon Cisek took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 55 played minutes Racing Club Canillo got a freekick which was hit by Ray Milburn. The audience was convinced that Zenon Cisek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Zenon Cisek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zak Foggarty having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Racing Club Canillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graham Pullen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Clemence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Ray Milburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zenon Cisek's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 80 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Tom Clemence managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club Canillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Clemence was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Racing Club Canillo's Zenon Cisek in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montes during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
