Ter Stefanek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Polentzi in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Edgard Polentzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachiyuyo EAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Polentzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute of the match CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS got a corner. Cachiyuyo EAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prospero Jobo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rein Keerme was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Stamen Tekeliev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Evaristo Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stamen Tekeliev in the 26th minute of the match. Julian Casado's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyo EAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Casado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cachiyuyo EAS booed when CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Casado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev in the 32nd minute of play. Edgard Polentzi charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Polentzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cachiyuyo EAS's Edgard Polentzi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 37th minute of play forced CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's goalkeeper Ter Stefanek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ter Stefanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Polentzi in the 38th minute of play. Evaristo Velasco came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Stamen Tekeliev. But to his dismay, Stamen Tekeliev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 45 minutes into the match, Stamen Tekeliev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Velasco. Cachiyuyo EAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stamen Tekeliev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stamen Tekeliev to make the kick off. Stamen Tekeliev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Evaristo Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Stamen Tekeliev took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Evaristo Velasco to make any attempt to save it. Evaristo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamen Tekeliev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stamen Tekeliev. Evaristo Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stamen Tekeliev in the 68th minute. Stamen Tekeliev came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Evaristo Velasco could save by the left post. 72 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stamen Tekeliev. In the 73rd minute Stamen Tekeliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ter Stefanek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 88 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enio Coelho. Edgard Polentzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco got control of the ball when Edward Huyghebaert tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS booed when Cachiyuyo EAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Prospero Jobo in the 96th minute really tested Evaristo Velasco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
