In the 4th minute of the match Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a corner. Areco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergio Saturno ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Sergio Saturno to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Urtats despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Abaunza came free, but Nicasio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Elvio Frances made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Sergio Saturno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Abaunza in the 15th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Urtats was a little too slow when Gökçe Yalazalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 35th minute, Sergio Saturno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Oliviero in the 38th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Agustin Abaunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st match minute, Areco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Galo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Areco FC defense, Isidro Oliviero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. The Areco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Urtats should have stopped the shot. Aquiles Pirro took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Abad. Nicasio Abad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Joel Enekoitz replaced Elvio Frances. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist was substituted for Isidro Oliviero. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Blomkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, William Lebigot notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Zeledon Sol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustin Abaunza. 70 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Pirro came free, but Nicasio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Peter Blomkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Urtats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gabriel Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 76th minute of the match. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Sol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Zeledon Sol in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Gökçe Yalazalp. 88 minutes into the game, Peter Blomkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Gabriel Urtats was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 92nd minute of play.
