In the 8th minute of the match λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bresal McPhil ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 8th match minute, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Félix to maneuver through the defense. Elias Félix was in a good position and ended up with the ball after λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabiano Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Fabiano Pombal came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Fabiano Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Pombal. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Abelardo Koehler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Abelardo Koehler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Fabiano Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Pombal came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Allan Alagoano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR made a substitution. Rodolfo Gerber replaced Abelardo Koehler. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Cabbar Suda was substituted for Fryderyk Misiewicz. Fabiano Pombal came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Fabiano Pombal in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes in the game Camilo Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Agustín Saelices. Fabiano Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Gerber came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's goalkeeper Fabiano Pombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Rodolfo Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Gerber notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute Rodolfo Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Fabiano Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR and deserved their victory. The λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
