The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Hernández. Chivos de Punto Fijo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Cezary Makomaski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filip Bochinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Filip Bochinski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Day. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 14th minute, Cassius Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Cezary Makomaski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, 白桦旭 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters crossed their fingers, but 白桦旭 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Cassius Byrne made a precise shot to the right of Dani Hernández. Chivos de Punto Fijo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 32 minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. When Cassius Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassius Byrne couldn't finish the play. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 37th minute of play. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Ståhlman during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Chivos de Punto Fijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Ståhlman to maneuver through the defense. Cassius Byrne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dani Hernández. Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cezary Makomaski to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 54th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Chivos de Punto Fijo were awarded a corner. Mannuel Ser went to the cornerflag to take it. Mannuel Ser made a great header on Chivos de Punto Fijo's corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Äliqulu Vermäliyev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Äliqulu Vermäliyev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Torrent in the 63rd minute of play. Chivos de Punto Fijo were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mannuel Ser took the corner. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Mannuel Ser was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 66thth minute of the game Juan Torrent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chivos de Punto Fijo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mannuel Ser in the 68th minute. Äliqulu Vermäliyev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute of the match Chivos de Punto Fijo got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mannuel Ser ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Mannuel Ser was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Makomaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, USA's Sam Campbell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dani Hernández made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. The crowd rose to their feet as Khalid Parry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dani Hernández. That made the score 1-4 in the 80 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Äliqulu Vermäliyev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute of the match Chivos de Punto Fijo got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mannuel Ser ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 89th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Baker to maneuver through the defense. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Makomaski in the 90th minute of play. Juan Torrent might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Torrent ran back to his position shaking his head. The Chivos de Punto Fijo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching USA's performance. The match ended with a win for USA.
