Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the AC LeX Luthor defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Eyague. The AC LeX Luthor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Eyague should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peep Pronk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Fulgencio Eyague in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fulgencio Eyague saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peep Pronk might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peep Pronk ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peep Pronk in the 66th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Eyague made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Matias Porfiro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. AC LeX Luthor's Isidro Oliviero was substituted for Pancho Branca. AC LeX Luthor's Zeledon Savion was substituted for Karl-Axel Kielstedt. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Savion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the last second Fulgencio Eyague throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rafael Gallo in the 92ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.
