After 6 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fred Åkerström. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Teodosio Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. AZURDUY F.C.'s Sun Feng Chen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Garrido, made in the 10th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Niclas Füllkrug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Niclas Füllkrug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Tom Hermansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of play forced AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Teodosio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Hermansson came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodosio Iigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Tom Hermansson took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Iigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teodosio Iigo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vicente Etxatxu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Axel Montenegro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teodosio Iigo. AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Teodosio Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. In the 86th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Hermansson in the 87th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Gotzon hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Teodosio Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Mastache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Teodosio Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Colombia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AZURDUY F.C. throughout the match.
