After 29 minutes Centenario Bohemio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Andres Tavio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Centenario Bohemio's Serafino Nisio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 37th minute of the game. 43 minutes into the game, Mauro Fontanini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Mauro Fontanini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matías Donato was the one to do the kick off. Andres Tavio was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 57thth minute of the game Matías Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Matías Donato put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 61st minute, Centenario Bohemio's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Patricio Costa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Centenario Bohemio's Horacio Bernaldo got a free kick in the 64th minute.
