The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmund Lenertej. That made the score 1-1 after 58 minutes of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nightmare's goalkeeper Edmund Lenertej, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Nightmare's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Nightmare's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Lenertej came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Taka Jachvadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademir de Sena took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
