Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Prospero Perico made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lobos de Carelia's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Cortez came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Perico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Perico slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Prospero Perico's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Perico. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Horacio Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Perico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Lobos de Carelia's Saul Montrel got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavao Zadro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavao Zadro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Prospero Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Prospero Perico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 86th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Perico in the 88th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nestor Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pavao Zadro fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobos de Carelia's protests and gave Pavao Zadro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Pavao Zadro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nestor Cortez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Lobos de Carelia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
