In the 5th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baladi Ribalta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoffer Blomqvist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Prior saved MILLONARIOS FC from getting behind. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Christoffer Blomqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christoffer Blomqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute of the match, Christoffer Blomqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Milagros Fraga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Prior having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Peru's Milagros Fraga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Prior narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Baladi Ribalta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Svenn Matzke charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svenn Matzke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Svenn Matzke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Angelo Prior didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. 47 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Angelo Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Christoffer Blomqvist made the kick off in the second half. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Theo Hernández in the 53 minute of the game. Angelo Prior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Angelo Prior to make any attempt to save it. In the 70th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Angelo Prior was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 71 minutes MILLONARIOS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Boris Van Acker kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. MILLONARIOS FC's Roberto Quicedo was substituted for Svenn Matzke. MILLONARIOS FC made a substitution. Juan Corredor replaced Rafael Jauregui. In the 74th minute, Boris Van Acker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Prior made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but MILLONARIOS FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
