Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 5th minute. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC CSKA's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmet Refik Ülgü could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. FC CSKA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Georgi Dimitrov in the 12th minute. A nice corner shot did that Georgi Dimitrov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 14 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Georgi Dimitrov. In the 16th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Georgi Dimitrov hit a great ball. FC CSKA made a substitution. Arnulfo Roderigo replaced Téo Vieira. FC CSKA made a substitution. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Roderigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Refik Ülgü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC CSKA's Ruslan Dzhalev was substituted for Ahmet Refik Ülgü. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Roderigo in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov. Georgi Velinov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Peru booed when FC CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asparuh Genovski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georgi Velinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 96th minute of play. The FC CSKA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
