Anastasio Gorbea kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Ivan Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aşkın Özgunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Errando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Aşkın Özgunes made a huge save. Lester Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bumin Kağan in the 31st minute of the match. Lester Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bumin Kağan's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Errando got free with Aşkın Özgunes in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Bennet in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute Ermis Vogiatzakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lester Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lester Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Luzea in the 45th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Rene Luzea in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erling Bennet was the one to do the kick off. Lester Serre came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Soulfly F.C.'s Ermis Vogiatzakis. But to his dismay, Ermis Vogiatzakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. San Lorenzo de Sarandi made a substitution. Leonides Rosio replaced Elias Honrio. The throw-in from Rene Luzea in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Vasco Olarticoechea. Leonides Rosio might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aşkın Özgunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonides Rosio ran back to his position shaking his head. Lester Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Bennet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bumin Kağan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lester Serre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute Ermis Vogiatzakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lester Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lester Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermis Vogiatzakis's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The Soulfly F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Soulfly F.C.'s Ermis Vogiatzakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre got control of the ball when Bumin Kağan tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's attentive Vasco Olarticoechea managed to snatch the ball when Ayberk Türkoğlu made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the game, Leonides Rosio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Aşkın Özgunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Rosio in the 85th minute of play. Lester Serre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermis Vogiatzakis in the 86th minute. Lester Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balaban Mirkelam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Kay Oppenheim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soulfly F.C. the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Kay Oppenheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Ryszard Luty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soulfly F.C. the free kick. Bumin Kağan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The Soulfly F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soulfly F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
