In the 3rd minute, Huly Pedrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play forced ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Daniel Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, ReyPoxo's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Daniel Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Uzuri Fuentes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the ReyPoxo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uzuri Fuentes couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the ReyPoxo defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Barral. The ReyPoxo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Barral should have stopped the shot. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 31st minute of play forced ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Daniel Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Barral. 41 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Barral. ReyPoxo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. ReyPoxo's Daniel Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorio Sobera. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ReyPoxo's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Mexico. ReyPoxo's Daniel Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save ReyPoxo from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, ReyPoxo's Piorno Acedo got a free kick in the 89th minute. A collision led to ReyPoxo getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Moisés Castelao hit a great ball. ReyPoxo's Daniel Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ReyPoxo.
