Norbert Major's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslaw Basaik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Pogoń Szczecin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Conrado Donzel in the 6th minute. It was a well-played corner which Darko Pančev managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice moves Stanislaw Siembab could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Sebastião Xoxe however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jurand Debowski hit a great ball. Norbert Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Walery Skonieczny with Igor Deput as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Stanislaw Siembab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes in the game Cezary Czubski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Igor Deput. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislaw Siembab in the 35th minute of play. Norbert Major blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miroslaw Basaik having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Ludomil Ptaszek got a free kick in the 37th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Stefanopoulos came free, but Miroslaw Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Pogoń Szczecin were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Miroslaw Basaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Major in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Norbert Major's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miroslaw Basaik was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Miroslaw Basaik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norbert Major in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miroslaw Basaik saved Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin from getting behind. Miroslaw Basaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Doris, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Stefanos Stefanopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Basaik having to interfere. Pogoń Szczecin made a substitution. Dariusz Harbaszewski replaced Jurand Debowski. 70 minutes into the match, Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goalkeeper Miroslaw Basaik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert Major. In the 71st match minute, Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofil Ludwa to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Teofil Ludwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Norbert Major shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Basaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Norbert Major ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miroslaw Basaik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 78 minutes into the match, Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Major came free, but Miroslaw Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miroslaw Basaik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Major, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslaw Basaik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Donzel in the 80th minute. If Stefanos Stefanopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Conrado Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Norbert Major notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Miroslaw Basaik. Miroslaw Basaik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Norbert Major scored 0-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miroslaw Basaik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
