Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Frantzes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sajones F.C.'s Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isaias Sazon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mexico's Felix Luque quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isaias Sazon, made in the 19th minute of the game. A collision led to Sajones F.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Isaias Sazon hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Raitin came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Pastor Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pastor Frantzes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hugo Raitin was slow to take the kick. During this time Sajones F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sajones F.C.'s corner Fidel Macerio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Hugo Raitin sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Dante Lacasa threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hugo Raitin this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pastor Frantzes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Pastor Frantzes made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Pastor Frantzes in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pastor Frantzes. Pastor Frantzes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 62nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hugo Raitin came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Sajones F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Raitin couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pastor Frantzes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Hugo Raitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Hugo Raitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Jakub Kiwior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Joel Gaona sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sajones F.C.'s Pastor Frantzes didn't even have to move. Eliseo Claude kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Isaias Sazon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Isaias Sazon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Sazon in the 93rd minute of play.
