The corner ended in Axel Tasis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valente FC's Dida Trigo did a great save. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Valente FC's Kaká Garcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Kaká Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. When Valente FC's Paolo Guerrero in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Dida Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kaká Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Maurinho de Godoi put in a rough tackle. Valente FC:s Dida Trigo showed great skill when he stopped Axel Tasis:s penalty. In the 34th minute, Paolo Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Edmílson Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 41st minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Paolo Guerrero sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paolo Guerrero made the kick off in the second half. Valente FC's Paolo Guerrero got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Guerrero scored 5-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute 崔政强 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valente FC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kaká Garcia took the corner. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. 90 minutes into the game, Valente FC's 崔政强 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Higuera went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Valente FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
