The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Muuga United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Di Natale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Brudnicki in the 19th minute of play. FC Muuga United's Virgo Lööper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 23rd minute of play. Virgo Lööper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Dariusz Brudnicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 27th minute of the match, Janar Taelma tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dariusz Brudnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Brudnicki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. FC Muuga United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaspar Hein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Muuga United throughout the match.
