Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Seco kicked off to start the match. Hayden Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 5th minute of play. The West Ham fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when West Ham's Severo Laurentzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Hayden Baker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severo Laurentzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. West Ham's Hayden Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 28th minute of play. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to West Ham getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kurt Poynton hit a great ball. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Hayden Baker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Jorge Sainz's late challenge caught a West Ham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Sainz helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 45 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Ham the free kick. Jaime Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hayden Baker. That made the score 2-1 in the 86 minute of play. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Uruguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Uruguay may have spent more time on the ball, but West Ham were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
