The crowd rose to their feet as Indiana Jones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jyrki Sillanpää. After 19 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Indiana Jones. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Sillanpää, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jyrki Sillanpää got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. 39 minutes in the game, Axel Montenegro dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalie prevented a goal. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Colombia booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Sandaili didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Montenegro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Higinio Aguilera. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Argi Casta hit a great ball. The supporters of Colombia booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argi Casta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute, Axel Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Higinio Aguilera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santino Seco in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Abram Secada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Abram Secada made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Aguilera. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Albino Brion replaced Argi Casta. After 88 minutes, Luís Fábio Rocha made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Luís Fábio Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Albino Brion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Albino Brion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Haritzeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
